A simle problem, a simple solution.
DAP Organizer

A small app that transfers music files to a DAP, renames files with shorter filenames, and makes sure they are transferred in the correct order, including multi-disc albums.
After years of Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming services, I decided to go FLAC. The natural place to start was Qobuz. Once I had bought some music, I played it through Plexamp and my Zidoo Z1000 Pro media player. I really enjoy owning my own music again, but using my phone for music felt uninspired.
So I bought a DAP. I’ve always loved FiiO as a brand, so I thought I would start small, more specifically with the FiiO Snowsky Echo Mini.
It’s a wonderful little device, but there is one small problem when transferring files by dragging and dropping files or folders. This DAP, like many others, sorts tracks by when the files were added rather than by track number. This means a shorter song could end up before a longer song.
You can of course solve this by making a little script that copies tracks one by one, or by dragging and dropping files individually… but where’s the fun in that?!
